CentraState Healthcare System has an employment opportunity available for a Patient Financial Services Analyst. Under general supervision by the department’s director, the PFS Financial Analyst is responsible for the analyzing, preparing, coordinating, and advising on specific receivable reporting requirements. The analyst is the department’s go to individual for ad-hoc reporting.
- Preparation of monthly accounts receivable reporting including but not limited to aging distribution, outsourced receivable reports, days in receivables, cash & cash projections including variance explanations
- Distribution & maintenance of end user productivity reporting to Patient Financial Services Leadership team
- Approval/ Declination of adjustments posted by Patient Financial Services end users
- Consistent monitoring of trailer billing implantables as it relates to Epic workflows. Candidate will also be responsible for scanning and applying invoices
- Support Customer Service department to clarify guarantor financial responsibilities as needed
- Responsible for organization, communication, and completion of all Patient Financial Services Audits. Including supporting year end third party audits and submission of
- Responsible for all adhoc reporting as needed by Patient Financial Services Management team
- Responsible for Denial Delegation WQ in Epic. Will ultimately be the decider of what denials stay in house vs. what is sent to external vendor
- Responsible for Monthly Call Volume analysis distribution
- Responsible for administration of system wide payer portals and insurance websites access and maintenance
- Responsible for accepting claim runs and distributing hardcopy bills to billing leads
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance/Business Administration or related field required
- Three years healthcare experience preferred
- Three years hospital or long term care/sub- acute accounts receivable experience preferred
- Advanced analytic and strategic thinking capability required.
- Ability to understand complex topics, particularly related to hospital reimbursement.
- Must have experience in interpretation and analysis of provider contracts.
- Demonstrated knowledge of managed care pricing methodologies and provider networks.
- Must be computer proficient with Microsoft office applications and Outlook.
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills required.
- Ability to analyze data, interpret and problem solve, both system and reports.
- High level of attention to detail, data integrity and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently in a complex, sometimes fast-paced environment; a self-motivated and resourceful attitude, taking intellectual ownership of one’s work and the projects under one’s scope of responsibility.
- Proactive in identifying issues, prepared to address concerns/questions, makes recommendations.
- Must possess strong time management and communication skills and the ability to multi-task and work as part of a team.
- Knowledge of both payer and hospital managed care operations.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Federal and State Regulations, including Medicare and Medicaid, ERISA, and DOBI.
