CentraState Healthcare System in Freehold, NJ is seeking a Senior Sccountant to perform statistical and accounting duties.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares monthly financial statements for the for-profit corporations along with analysis of any budget variances.
  • Maintains daily cash receipts reports and cash flow requirements for the for-profit corporations
  • Maintains monthly fix asset system and preparing reconciliations for audit purposes.
  • Assists in preparation of tax returns.
  • Communicates on a monthly basis with outside billing companies to reconcile accounts receivable for our physician practices
  • Prepares necessary stats for physician practices by location in terms of visits, wRVUs, and procedures, along with the census and payer mix reports for the for-profit companies.
  • Prepares monthly bank reconciliations and resolves discrepancies
  • Prepares audit worksheets and electronic accounting files for external audit purposes.
  • Completes accurate budgets for the for-profit corporations
  • Prepares monthly inter-company reconciliation.
  • Reviews lease agreements with management, in concert with property management, and ensures accurate collection procedures of tenant receivables pertaining to all rental properties to sub-tenants
  • Researches methods for streamlining processes, identifies procedures needing improvement, and recommends appropriate correction action to management.
  • Utilizes system report writers to produce custom reports for finance and other departments as needed.
  • Assists the Accounting Manager, Controller, and VP Finance with special projects as assigned.
Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.

 

Work Experience:

4 years of accounting experience, healthcare experience a plus

 

Required Knowledge and Skills:

Strong professional, organizational, and interpersonal skills to effectively relate with all members of the healthcare team.  Strong computer, Excel, and accounting software skills.
