Overview

CentraState Healthcare System Foundation is seeking a Special Events Coordinator to support the mission of the Foundation through various professional assignments including but not limited to prospect research, database management and support of the CentraState Associated Auxiliaries.

Responsibilities

  • Plans and executes fundraising and non-fundraising events, meeting all targets and deadlines.
  • Effectively engages volunteer event committees in the planning and execution of special events, including meeting revenue goals.
  • Effectively engages department heads in solicitation of CentraState vendors for event sponsorships and ads.
  • Develops and manages the expense budgets for all special events.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in Communication or Business preferred or in a related field.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience required.
  • Three years’ fundraising experience preferred.
  • Previous development experience preferred.
  • Advanced computer knowledge including word processing, spreadsheets, database management, and PowerPoint.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be highly organized in order to handle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong professional, organizational, and interpersonal skills to effectively relate with all members of the healthcare team.

Ideal candduiate will possess:

  • 3 years event mgmt. 5 years of fundraising Bachelor’s is required Experience using a database (RaisersEdge), Excel (and all Word products), Adobe Acrobat Managing volunteers and event committees. Generating list and following up with prospects Calling and speaking with vendors, volunteers, sponsors (strong phone presence).
